For this international client we are looking for a senior legal counsel at the HR in Leuven. With your range of tasks, you are ultimately responsible for the legal field.
- Projects
- Review and negotiation of commercial contracts (development rights, land lease, grid connection, construction, power purchase agreements,…) and financing documentation for renewable energy projects in Europe, US and Middle-East/Asia.
- Corporate
- Drafting and/or review of corporate housekeeping documents for BREG parent company and its subsidiaries.
- Elaboration with local legal partners for private and public partnership agreements per country.
- Assurance of legal compliance for all of the BREG portfolio companies.
- Review and negotiation of shareholder agreements, joint venture and partnership agreements all over EMEA and contracts in the context of M&A activities.
- Follow-up international holding and company structures.
- Coordination
- Lead contact for external legal advisors in all of the above matters.
- Support and follow-up towards BREG project teams for all legal matters.
- Direct report to the BREG CEO and co-supervising the project managers and HR.
We Search
You have a Master in Law Degree.
- At least 5 years experience in commercial and corporate law matters, preferably in renewable energy business context.
- Fluent in English, Dutch and French. (Knowledge of Spanish or Arabic is a plus).
- Good organizational and management skills; hands-on approach.
- Good team player, with ability to act as individual practitioner.
- Flexible and capable to work in an internationally oriented environment.
- You have experience with Microsoft Teams and Excel.
